Rove Boasts of Tearing Heads Off Small Animals to PETA (not snark)

I ordinarily would never diary something like this, but the insanity of this high level White House statesman is off the charts, to an extent that more of the public should know.  No, this is not snark (I thought my husband was kidding when he told me this).  More below the fold.

The ‘People’ column of the Tuesday April 3, 2007 International Edition of the Miami Herald yielded this unbelievable report of Rove mouthing off to PETA (People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Wednesday at the Washington Radio and TV Correspondents’ dinner with a rap routine (I couldn‘t, wouldn‘t make this up).

"Listen up, suckas - don‘t get the jitters..." "but MC Rove tears the heads off of critters."

When asked about his hobbies he said

ripping the tops off of animals

while miming the kill with his hands.

I only wish I could doubt him.

This is our modern idea of statesmanship at work, is it?  I knew Rove was insane, but I didn’t know the gears were stripped.  But what else to think, when second-in-command Dick Cheney’s chosen public venue is the Rush Limbaugh show?

I fear for our country and the world with people like this at the helm.  Somehow this chills me beyond words.
